Book Ends has been Winchester's beloved independent bookstore since 1984.
Lauren Tiedemann and Jillian Hartline are the proud new owners of Book Ends. We bought the store from longtime owner Judy Manzo in November 2022, and are having an absolute blast being your neighborhood bookstore. It's a dream come true for both of us -- we've each worked for corporate bookstores for the last 15 years, and realized not long after meeting at a managers' meeting in the summer of 2021, we shared the same long-term goal of owning our own store. Our friendship and our business plan grew side-by-side, and we are so grateful for the warm welcome Winchester has given us!
We've launched many new initiatives so far, including storytime every Wednesday and Saturday morning, monthly meetings for our general interest and SciFi/Fantasy/Horror bookclubs, and our latest addition, monthly wine tastings! We've also rearranged a lot of the store, too, so if you haven't been in recently, stop by and say hi and check it out!
